There are two international airports in Shanghai: Shanghai Pudong International Airport (IATA: PVG, ICAO: ZSPD) (SSE: 600009) ( Chinese: 上海浦东国际机场) and Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport (IATA: SHA, ICAO: ZSSS) (Chinese: 上海虹桥国际机场). Shanghai Pudong International Airport is the primary international airport serving Shanghai, China, and a major aviation hub in Asia while Hongqiao mainly serves domestic flights.
Taxis starting fare in Shanghai is 11 CNY and cost 2.2 CNY per kilometer. The fare will be added by 30% at night, from 11 pm to 6 am. You are recommended to take legal taxis which are metered and licensed.
It's not customary to tip the driver.
Fudan University has 4 campuses, and international students are based at Handan Road Campus. The residence of international students is located at the North division of the campus.
How to reach Fudan University?
1. From Pudong International Airport:
It's about 40 kilometers.

Airport bus route No.4 plus walk/bus
Take airport bus route no.4 and get off at Wujiaochang stop, walk forward for 5 minutes to Fudan or take any bus approaching to Fudan. The airport bus costs 16 CNY and urban buses cost 2 CNY. Total time is around 70 minutes.
2. From Hongqiao International Airport:
It's about 27 kilometers.
about 75 CNY, 50 minutes
Option 1 is recommended
If you do like to try some other way, and to know more about the transport of the city, you can also take bus No.925 at the airport and get off at West Yan'an Road station, transfer to subway line 3 there, and then get off at Chifeng Road station. Then you can take bus no. 139 or 854 or 942 or Chuanhong line to Fudan. Total fare is 10 CNY (2+4+2=10) and it takes 80 minutes.

To airport bus drivers:
Hi, I will get off at Wujiaochang Station.
