Application Procedures (Online Application)
CUCAS's Online Application System allows international applicants to DIRECTLY apply for MBBS programs at China's universities. To complete the online application process, you need to follow the instructions below.
Once you've submitted your application, please wait 2-4 weeks for the university to process your application. Once the university has made a decision, CUCAS will notify you by email. You can also track your application status by logging into your CUCAS account.
We ask you to complete the following main sections.

All the sections listed are required to be completed, as in the picture shown below. These are required by the university processing your application.
Once you have finished all the sections, you can submit your application by clicking the button.
1. Complete online application form
In this section, applicants need to fill out the online application form, including personal information, education background, language proficiency, etc.
Some form items have certain requirements which will be listed below the blank. Please fill in the blanks as requested.
If you're not sure how to fill out the form, please check if there are any instructions behind the blank, as shown below.
Personal information about the applicant must be filled in truly and correctly.
Please note that the university will require your current mailing address to deliver your acceptance letter and JW202 form if you are accepted.
Applicants have to provide the information for all completed secondary, vocational, technical, undergraduate or postgraduate training and qualifications. Any incomplete programs should also be listed.
Please clarify your work experiences and your current post (if any).
Proposed Study in China
Please state your language proficiency, especially Chinese and English. If you have passed a language test, please include a copy of the results in your application materials. Please note that some programs require a certain level of language proficiency. E.g. Most Chinese-taught degree programs require a Chinese proficiency of HSK Level 3-6.
Please indicate your proposed duration of specialized study in China.
Since the teaching language of Chinese universities is Chinese, it's very important that you state whether or not you need elementary Chinese study prior to your specialized study.

Please specify the source of financial support for your study in China.
Family Members' Information
The guarantor charging your case in China will be contacted if necessary.
2. Upload Required Application materials
General information about the applicant's family members will be required in this part.
Please upload photocopies of required application materials according to the university's admissions criteria.
All the materials should be MS-Word (.doc), Adobe PDF (.pdf) documents, image files (.gif, .jpg), or compression files (.rar, .zip). Each file cannot exceed 8 MB
How to upload files
Click 'Browse' in the 'File Uploads' column.
Select the required file from your PC.
And then click OK to upload.
At this time, the file will be uploaded by CUCAS automatically. According to your local connection speed, uploading will normally last from a few seconds to 1 minute. During the uploading process, please don't leave the current section or make any changes.
How to prepare the photocopies
1) If you have access to a scanner, you can scan your document to create an image on the PC,
2) If you have a digital camera or a mobile phone with camera, you can take a photo of your application document.
Please make sure the image is clear and legible.The following documents may be required.
Photocopy of valid passport
Photocopy of valid visa or residence permit
Personal ID card
Certification of no criminal record
Certificate of HSK
Letter of guarantee
Financial support statement
Certificate/diploma of highest education
Academic transcript of highest education
More documents may be required, depending on each school's request.
3. Make Payment
In this section, please pay your application fee to each university.
An application fee is charged by the individual university or universities that you apply to.
CUCAS does not charge any service fee from Jan. 20th 2014.
CUCAS offers five types of payment methods. Please carefully select your preferred payment method and to make the payment.
CUCAS offers an online invoice to help you to make an offline payment more conveniently. Click on 'Browse Invoice' to see your CUCAS invoice. Please take the invoice with you when you wire the money.
Students who choose Western Union or Bank transfer as their payment method need to upload the payment receipt after you wire the money at the post office or bank.

4. Submit Application
Please submit your application once the application fee is confirmed by CUCAS.
To submit your application, please access My CUCAS-> My Applications by logging in CUCAS, click 'Continue' at 'Application Status' column, and go to the 'Submit Application' section.
You will see a big 'Submit' button. Click the button and your application will be sent directly to the university.
If you have any difficulties in submitting your application, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
When you have submitted your application, please wait for the university’s response. Any questions regarding your application status can be sent to email@example.com.
Application Status Guidance
You can check your application status in your personal center on the CUCAS website
Your status will be one of the following:.
Incomplete: Part of the application process is incomplete. Please continue your application through your CUCAS personal center.
Completed: The application process is complete and the university is considering your application.
Processing: Your application is being considered by the school against its own admissions criteria. Normally it will take at least 20 working days for a school to make a decision.
Pending: Your application needs to be edited according to school request.
Refused: Your application will not be accepted according to the school's admission criteria.
Accepted: Your application is accepted. Please check your offer status.
